I
will update this from time to time with new products that come out.
Here
is a list of quick reviews I have so far:
INDEX – Quick Links
Last Updated 12/23/01 – Updated the thumbs- they were wrong but words were correct
05/12/01 Added: Cobra Ball Detent, Lasoya’s Elements Mid-Rise and some Angel parts like the
A.I.R Sock, A.I.R Screen and LCD battery with on/off switch.
This is a neat little ball detent I picked up from Warped Sportz. I just so happened to need it
So I put it on and have played a few times with it on my Dark Angel. It’s $13.99 and comes in colors (red, blue, black, green) or $15 for the Nickel. It has 4 parts to it. A ball, spring, cover plate and main nut
(what ever you want to call it). You can take it apart to clean it (which you can’t do with the stock
detent) and it is adjustable via a 3mm hex wrench. I have the chrome one and it looks good on my Purple
Angel. I plan on picking up a few more to replace the other one on my SE and a spare.

I like it. Good
Idea. Thumbs Up!
This is a cool looking Mid-Rise. The first thing I noticed is the feed will only accept Viewloader
Hoppers. It is milled really tight for a feed neck. The tightest I’ve ever run across. You do not need any electrical tape or hopper neck expanders with it. The Viewloader just pops right in with a good fit and little to no movement. If you use a Viewloader and like a mid-rise than this is perfect. The Ricochet will need significant sanding to fit this product. Because of this I don’t like it. If all you use is Viewloaders
then this is an excellent product. I’ve found little difference using this versus my Hi-rise. It looks good
and comes in silver, blue, black, red and green for $39 from Warped Sportz.
Aside from the limited fit of the neck I really like. Looks good, Sturdy and available now for LCD’s.

I like it. Good
Idea. Thumbs Up!

Ok, so there are numerous tank covers out there. I have used several over time and currently
Have a REDZ and a G.O.G tank cover. The WDP one comes in Blue, Black, Clear, Green, Red and Smoke with the black coming standard on the tank alone. It is said to fit 68, 88 and 114 CI tanks. I have only
used them on 68 CI tanks. I have used the green, red and black SKIN GEL LOK-SOK as it is Officially
known. It comes with 5 parts to it in a plastic can. They are the rear tank cover, front tank cover,
front neck cover, nipple cover and a matching screen button. Installation on the A.I.R tank was a dream.
Unscrew the cylinder (completely empty of course) and remove the front tank cover, neck cover and
nipple cover. Replace with like parts and screw the tank back on being very careful. You can take off
the screen button if you want to (stock on the A.I.R is black with/blue screen) or as I Do as I did and
get a matching red screen cover and install it on that. Then slip the rear cover on and you are in business.
I wish they had the color PURPLE WDP? But red doesn’t look TOO bad.
I installed the green LOK-SOK on an ACI 68/3000 tank. This wasn’t easy. I was not willing to
Unscrew my cylinder (tank) to install the cover. So, it took a bit of stretching and pulling to get it over
The regulator and gauge. I did not put the collar on as it is made for the A.I.R tank.
Overall I like the feel of the LOK-SOK. It is comfortable and appears durable. I can see some benefit
In that the center of your tank is open so you have easy access to Hydro data. It does get to be a pain to
Uncover your tank to get it filled nowadays. It is somewhat expensive compared to other tank covers.
You can get a REDZ tank cover for $10 retail. The price for the LOK-SOK is $25 direct from WDP and more from shops in the USA.
You can change the look of you’re A.I.R tank easily with this product. It is expensive and I don’t
See a whole lot of benefit for tanks others than the Angel A.I.R. I can recommend it for this tank but can’t see the need for it on others. Otherwise it’s cost and design limit it’s use for other tanks so don’t bother.
Final Rating: A.I.R YES – other tanks NO
NO thumbs up or down.

This is a colored polycarbonate screen to replace the stock blue cover. It currently comes in
Blue, Red and Green and cost $10. I found the Red one had a little flash (extra plastic) on one side of
The part. I took an X-acto knife and trimmed it up to make it fit. Remove 4 metric screws after you
remove the unit from your drop forward. Replace the cover and screws and you now have a new look
for your tank. This product works only on the angel A.I.R. They should have a couple of more colors to match the covers and they should have a clear one at the least.
Limited use for the Angel A.I.R system only. Needs more colors.
This is an upgrade kit for 2000 LCD’s. It replaces the battery pack with a pre wired external switch
Replacing the need for the yellow key. I would recommend an Angel Tech install this for you. You need to
Remove the exsisting battery pack and file your back plate to install the switch. An average person following directions can do it. I did so it can’t be too hard but you do have to modify your marker.
Then just plug the battery connectors up and you’re in business.
The switch at the rear sticks out almost as far as the pull pin. It is quite larger than I expected.
The switch is chrome and should look good on most any marker. I love this thing. I hate the yellow key
And now I don’t need them anymore. Oh, this is NOT the new 2001 battery pack, just a replacement battery, switch and pre wired connectors for older LCD’s.

I really love this thing! ![]()

A team mate of mine has been wearing them
a couple of times now. I used to have a
pair similar to
them
for backpacking/hiking about 10 years ago.
The legs zip off and you have shorts.
Problem is depending on your size, I’ve heard some are ok and some
aren’t, they may rub your knees raw. The
zipper comes right across his knees when he is playing his bunker. Sliding around in it in a couple of games
and by the end of the day his knees were bleeding. So my teammate has been wearing his JT Skinz under them when he
wears them. So if you are considering
buying them then you might need some under the pants knee protection, than
again, maybe not!

This is one of the neatest new products
out.
Call
it a REALLY NEAT BARREL PLUG. I say
that because I have a couple.
It
fits over the end of the barrel and has an elastic strap that goes over the
back
of
your marker or regulator or something.
My tests have shown that shooting the
marker
with it on is much better than a typical barrel plug. First, the plug doesn’t
go
flying, which at close range is just as dangerous as a paintball. I.E. it will blind
you
if hit in the eye. How many times have
you seen someone shoot the barrel plug?
I
know I have (and done it myself).
The best thing is the ball doesn’t
break in the barrel with this gizmo.
I
have done it right before the start of the game in a tournament and splurged my
barrel.
No
longer! The ball does break, more like
cracks. Some paint leaks out but
nothing like
a
plug blow out. Just a little wipe of
the finger and Viola! One leaky
paintball and
one
clean barrel. Pretty Neat. I hear it’s required at NPPL tournaments
this year.
Good
Idea. Thumbs Up!
(This would be great
but watch out for long barrels – 16” is about the max)

Custom Products -
Notice the ridges Dye
fitting
For lack of a better term! They are cylindrical pieces of aluminum that
slide into
The
neck of a Hopper. They both attempt to fix
the problem of the necks not fitting
Vertical
feed attachments. Instead of the Marker
makers designing this into the Marker
These
two have come out with an alternative to electrical tape. The CP one is the
Better
of the two. Don’t waste your money on
the Dye. About the only thing the DYE
Does
is re-enforce the neck so it is less likely to snap. I have tried it on an Autococker
STO
vertical feed and my Angel. The DYE
does nothing to eliminate the electrical
Tape
on these two markers.
However, the Custom Products one‘s
are really nice. They come in two
sizes.
large
and small. The large one fits my Angel
(plastic neck) just fine. The small one
works
well
in my Autococker. The large one is
black and the small one is blue. They
have
small
ridges on one end and spreads the hopper neck out a little for a tight fit.
They
perform flawlessly. I highly recommend
them. NO MORE ELECTRICAL TAPE!
The DYE fitting is a straight
tube. They are worthless don’t waste
your money!
UPDATED on 4/18/01
I
went back and did another test with 3 different 12 volt Viewloader hoppers and
3 different Markers, a ’99 vertical feed cocker, a 2000 STO
and an Angel SE with plastic feeder.
I used a DYE, a Blue CP and a Black CP hopper fitting. I only tested the CP ones in one direction.
If they fit I didn’t bother to turn them around. If they didn’t I turned them around to see
if they would fit.
The Dyes are not Bi-directional like the CP ones. Here are the results:

Legend: F = Fit’s ok B = Hopper neck
too big L = too loose
hopper spins
1 - hopper is a
little loose 2 -
hopper is tight but fits 3 - fits 1 direction only
So you can see the hopper and Marker
make a difference. I still think the CP
product is more
Versatile. It has 2 sizes. Hopefully this chart might help pick the right one. Generally I think the
Blue
one fits Cockers ok and the Black one Angels!
I failed to mention that the CP fitting can be used in either direction
making it much more useful.
